CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP FOR THE SENEGALESE EXPERTS FOLLOWING THE SERIES OF INTERNATIONAL TRAINING COURSES FOR THE AFRICAN COUNTRIES

The closing ceremony of the training course on vaccine production for experts and participants from Senegal took place at Razi Institute on March 3, 2024, with the attendance of officials from Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute. The event marked the conclusion of the international workshop for Senegalese experts following a series of training courses offered to African countries.

In the presence of Dr. Morteza Akbarian, the advisor to the Director-General and Head of Directorate, along with Dr. Alireza Yousefi, the Director of Research, Education, and Commercialization, the closing ceremony of the "Vaccine Production, Control, and Quality Assurance" training course was held at the Dr. Kaveh Auditorium.

Dr. Akbarian expressed his satisfaction with the diverse participation from various African nations, highlighting Razi Institute's longstanding reputation in vaccine production and biological products, as well as its enduring positive relationships with multiple countries.

Furthermore, he declared the preparedness of Razi Institute to export and share vaccine production technology and technical knowledge with the African countries. According to him the collaborative efforts of different departments within the institute ensured the provision of valuable information and training on vaccine production, control, and quality assurance to the participants in a concise timeframe.

Dr. Mohammad Kazem Shahkarami, head of the training office, acknowledged the challenge of delivering specialized content and training in five-day period, underscoring the institute's century-long legacy of technical expertise and experience.

Dr. Mohammad Shojaei, who supervised the course, mentioned that a team of 15 researchers and institute members were responsible for implementing this course for the Senegalese participants.

During the meeting, the Senegalese team provided an overview of livestock and veterinary services status in Senegal and extended their appreciation for the informative training workshop held at the Razi Institute.

At the end of the event, a commemorative picture was taken with all those in attendance to underscore the significance of fostering ongoing scientific and economic relationships between the two countries.
