The Razi Institute hosted a webinar on Wednesday, February 28th, 2024, focusing on the latest developments and challenges in the field of Foot and Mouth Disease. This webinar brought together experts and professionals from the Razi Institute, the European Commission on Foot and Mouth Disease (Eu-FMD), the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the Iran Veterinary Organization (IVO).

FAO educational opportunities in 2024
Statistics on Iranian users' utilization of FAO educational opportunities since 2016
During the webinar, the EU-FMD outlined its key objectives:
Collaborating and capacity-building to control Foot-and-Mouth Disease and similar transboundary animal diseases (FAST)
Reducing the risk in neighboring countries
Strengthening the global strategy of GF-TADs
Shifting focus from EU main members to neighboring and non-European countries
Reviving the EUFMD platform as a virtual educational curriculum for target countries:
Equipping FMD-free countries with necessary preparedness for potential outbreaks
Providing disease control skills to FMD-affected countries.
